Wilma Vogt

Wilma M. Vogt age 93, was born February 3, 1931, to George and Mary (Litton) Corfman in Newton, KS. She graduated from Whitewater High School in the class of 1949.  Wilma passed away on January 21, 2024, at Blossom Nursing Home in Berryville, AR.

On August 16, 1949, she was united in marriage to Dean Vogt at the Federated Church in Whitewater, KS. Two sons were born to this union, Michael, and Brian.

Wilma worked at the meat lockers in both Whitewater and Potwin. She enjoyed doing crafts and Wilma’s pride and joy was her two grandsons Grant and Kyle. She enjoyed attending their school activities.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dean, who passed away on January 9, 2011, in Wichita, KS.; one sister Gladys Ryan of Whitewater and a brother Clarence of Newton.

Wilma is survived by sons Brian and wife Denise Vogt of Golden, MO and Michael and wife Gloria of Woodland Park, CO., and grandsons Grant Vogt and Kyle Vogt.

The family will gather privately to lay her to at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas.
