William "Bill" Edmunds Jr.

Marion, Kansas

                William "Bill" Edmunds Jr. passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. He was 58 years of age.

                Bill was born December 7, 1959, at Marion, the son of William Edmunds Sr. and Virginia Weber Edmunds. He attended Marion schools and graduated in 1979. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for over four years.

                After returning home, he worked for Tony's Pizza for 3 and a half years and then 26 years for Johnson's General Store in Florence, Kansas as a clerk and later as a manager. Health conditions forced him to retire in 2009.

                He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a brother Melvin Honeyfield of Marion, Kansas; sisters Paula and Nancy Edmunds of Marion, Kansas; Debbie Bayer and husband Barney of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Becky Vannocker and husband Brad of Hillsboro, Kansas; nieces and nephews.

                The service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Emanuel Baptist Church at Marion with burial at the Marion Cemetery with military honors. A visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
