Willard P. "Bill" Buffin, Jr.

POTWIN – Willard P. “Bill” Buffin, Jr., 72, passed away October 11, 2015, at his residence in hospice care.  He was born June 15, 1943, in Richmond, Virginia, the son of Willard P. and Dorothy C. (Durham) Buffin, Sr.  He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force.  He was a retired Wichita Police Department Range Master.  On November 14, 1989, he was united in marriage to Judy Ann (Patterson) Wells.  Their blended family would include two children, John and Sonja.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Buffin of Potwin; a son, John and wife Dana of Dubai, UAE; a step-daughter, Sonja Ward and husband Tim of El Dorado; a sister, Betty Loendorf and husband Ty of Fromberg, Montana; and 3 grandchildren:  Dane Buffin, Zach Buffin, and Shelby Buffin.  Visitation with family will be held from 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday, at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2015, at Potwin United Methodist Church.  Interment will be in the McGill Cemetery, Potwin.  A Memorial Fund has been established for the Potwin United Methodist Church, in care of Lamb Funeral Home, 120 S Main, Whitewater, KS, 66861.  Condolences may be left at www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.
