Virgil Allen Talkington

Virgil’s life began on July 19, 1959, in El Dorado. He was the son of Florus and Rose Gertrude (Faunce) Talkington. Virgil was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He enjoyed fishing, four-wheelers, barbequing, and spending time with his family. Virgil is survived by his wife Barbara, son Carey (Ann Marie) Penrod of Florence; three grandchildren; brother Jess (Rosetta) Burns, sister Rose Ann (Don) Scott, sister Evalyn (Dennis) Barrett, brother Doug (Vicki) Talkington, sister Carrie Talkington, and sister Patty (Terry) Bentley and several nieces and nephews. Virgil passed away on October 1, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. He is preceded in death by his father and a sister Dora. Private graveside services will be held at the Burns Cemetery.
