Vernon "Bobby" Clemons

Bobby’s life began on January 17, 1959, in Natchitoches, LA. He was the son of Winston V. and Iona M. (Buffer) Clemons. Growing up in Louisiana, Bobby worked on a fishing boat, and oil rigs. He also volunteered as a fireman. He was united in marriage to Nancy Lowe on June 8, 1990, in Lafayette, AR. Prior to retirement, Bobby worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts. He loved to mow his grass and go fishing. He could often be found in his shed, fixing something with his tools. He loved to bird watch and was a nature lover. Bobby is survived by his wife Nancy of White City; children CJ Jude of Salina, and Amber (Jay) Appleby of White City; grandchildren Jason, James, Akira and Krissyana; sisters Vernell Keety of Natchitoches, LA, and Carol Ann Martin of Farmersville, LA and several nieces and nephews. Bobby passed away on Tuesday November 19, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Eva and sister Betty. There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate his life at a later date. He will be laid to rest in Parkerville Cemetery. Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington is serving his family.
