Velda May McDiffett

Velda May McDiffett was born on August 10, 1930, in Cottonwood Falls, KS to Preston and Hazel White. She was baptized on May 23, 1948, and confirmed into the Christian faith on January 8, 1950, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Latimer, KS. She was united in marriage to Elmer Lawrenz on July 30, 1949, and they were blessed with three children, Larry, Terry, and Kathy. Elmer passed away on February 15, 1970.She remarried James McDiffett on April 15, 1988.On February 19, 2025, God called Velda home to heaven. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Lowell White, and husbands Elmer Lawrenz and James Mcdiffett. She is survived by her children, Larry Lawrenz (Karon), Terry Wright (Walt), and Kathy Bruckner (Eddie), seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Her family will gather with friends for her memorial service on Wednesday February 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Herington. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
