Tommy Lee Hite

Tom’s life began on February 2, 1954, in Fort Scott. He was the son of Alva Otis Hite, Jr., and Joyce Marie (Larcom) Hite. He was a graduate of Rose Hill High School. Tom worked for the Sante Fe railroad for 42 years, serving as a brakeman, conductor, and engineer. He was full of life and enjoyed the outdoors. Tom is survived by his brothers Michael Hite of Newton, Gary (Diane) Hite of Newton, and Joe (Shelly) Hite of Valley Center; niece Bryanna (Brandon) Entz and nephew Tanner (Erica) Hite. Tom passed away on Thursday January 23, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. His family will gather with friends on Sunday January 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater where his funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Uniontown Cemetery in Uniontown, KS.
