HERINGTON - Todd (T. J.) Kickhaefer, 25

Todd Jay Van Kickhaefer, of Woodbine, died, Sunday, November 26, 2017.  He  was born on September 18, 1992, in Wichita, the son of Todd Kickhaefer and Gloria Henry. 

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, December 1st, 2017, at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Herington with Rev. Mark Lovett, officiating.  Musician for the service will be Linda Carlson.  Pallbearers for the service will be Seth Bartel, Matt Coulson, Paul Haslouer, Ross Henry, Jeff Kickhaefer, and Cody Riffel.  Burial will follow at the Woodbine Cemetery. 

T. J. was baptized and confirmed at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.  He graduated from Hope High School with the class of 2011, where he was a stand-out athlete in football, basketball, and track.  He completed his course of study in heating and air conditioning at Salina Area Technical College in 2012.  He has worked at KVK Heating and Air Conditioning of Woodbine, and Reid Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning of Manhattan.  He liked big trucks, woodworking, hunting, fishing, and was learning golf.

T. J. is preceded in death by grandmother, Jane Ludwa in 2013; great grandparents, Herman and Amanda Kickhaefer, James and Thelma Gillett; and uncle Van Dale Kickhaefer in 1976.  

T. J. is survived by his father, Todd Kickhaefer of Woodbine; mother, Gloria Henry of Salina; two sisters, Amanda Kickhaefer (Zachary Cochrane) and April Kickhaefer of Dennison, TX; half- brother, Ross Henry of Chillicothe, MO; grandparents, Gaylen and Carol Kickhaefer of Woodbine, Charles “Chuck” Henry of Osceola, IA; three nephews, Christopher Henry, Caige and Crimson Cochrane; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Woodbine Fire Department; and they may be sent in care of the Zeiner Funeral Home, Herington.
