Thomas’ life began on July 15, 1956, in Fort Ord, California. He was the son of Donald and Shirley (Bell) Herpich. Thomas graduated from Herington High School in 1976 and attended diesel mechanic school in Salina. He worked for several parts dealers in the area for many years. Thomas worked for Munkres John Deere, Pioneer Sales, Floyd Implement, Straub International in Pratt, Marion John Deere, Kan Equip and Tiffany Cattle Company as well as helping with ag parts for several others. Thomas had the ability to recall any part number in the shop and knew where to find it. He was united in marriage to Connie (Hewitt) on July 1, 1998, at Lemon Park in Pratt. Thomas was an avid archery hobbyist and enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Connie Herpich of Burdick; daughter Elizabeth Herpich of Salina, stepdaughter Lindy Anthony of Pratt; grandchildren Anthony, Brittney, and Piper; siblings Kerry (Ken) Swinney of Derby, Scott (Kathy) Herpich of Herington, and Lori (Arthur) Hughes of Wichita; and several nieces and nephews.

 Thomas passed away at his home on Sunday September 22, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Gene Herpich and stepdaughter Nikki Kapsin. Thomas’ family will gather with friends on Saturday October 5, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery for a graveside service led by Pastor Clarence Sumner.
