Stanley Robert Fells

HERINGTON -  Stanley Robert Fells departed this life on June 19, 2019 at his rural home in Herington.  He was born on March 30, 1944, at Enterprise, to Clifford J.  and Anna Elizabeth (Strauss) Fells.  On September 2, 1962, he married Patricia Ann Schlesener, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Woodbine, and to this union together they raised one daughter, Bobbi Ann.

Stanley was active in the Woodbine community over the years, enjoying daily friendships with his coffee bunch, his farming associates, and construction work building ponds, terraces, pushing and hauling dirt. Stanley was a member of the Woodbine United Methodist Church.  As a child he attended Liberty Center School, Woodbine Grade School and graduated from Woodbine High School with the class of 1962.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Fells of the rural home in Herington; a daughter, Bobbi Bush (husband-Matt) of Lee’s Summit, MO; two brothers, Jim Fells (wife-Phyllis) and Pete Fells of rural Herington; two grandchildren, Ashley (Nathan) Myers of Olathe, KS, Danielle (Connor) Byrnes of Lee’s Summit, MO; 3 step-grandchildren, Mackenzie Gerhardt, Molly Bush, and Madeline Bush; three great grandchildren, Caydence, Harper, and Falyn Byrnes; 4 step great grandchildren, Owen and Lea Gerhardt, and Avery and Willa Myers.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Woodbine United Methodist Church between 5:00 and 7:00 PM.

Services will be at Woodbine United Methodist Church on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 10:30 AM, followed by interment at the Woodbine Cemetery.
