Robert J Vajnar

Robert J. Vajnar was born June 29th, 1941, in Hillsboro, KS. His parents were Joe and Edna Vajnar. Robert was baptized as an infant at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Tampa, KS. On May 22nd, 1955, he was confirmed. Robert graduated from Tampa High School in 1959. He played basketball at Tampa High School. He cared deeply for animals. He always had three or four dogs. Robert loved trains and enjoyed going to train yards in Salina to watch the activity for hours. Robert passed away on January 25, 2025, at Peabody Health and Rehab. He is survived by niece Cheryl Vajnar of Mission Hills, CA, nephew Monte Vajnar of Sylmar, CA, great niece Natalia Vajnar, great nephew Monte Vajnar and great niece Brianna Vajnar. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Warren Vajnar. His family will gather with friends on February 8, 2025, from 12-1 p.m. at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Tampa for his graveside service. Yazel Megli Funeral Home is serving the family.
