HILLSBORO – Robert L. “Bob” Sextro, age 76, retired Hillsboro High School math teacher of 28 years, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born July 30, 1939, at Marysville, Kansas. He was the son of Clemens F. and Carrie M. (Larsen) Sextro. He received his Master’s Degree from Kansas State University. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his special family: Jim and Virginia Vanek of Greeley, CO; Jimmy Vanek and fiancée Courtney Johnson of Wichita; and Sarah Kromer and husband Ryan of Wichita. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, at Zeiner Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2015, at Parkview Mennonite Church, Hillsboro. Committal Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at Marysville City Cemetery, Marysville. A memorial fund has been established for the Robert Sextro Scholarship Fund in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 902 East D, Hillsboro, KS, 67063.
