NEWTON – Reva I. Goodwin was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 30. 2015, at Asbury Park Assisted Living Center of Newton. She was 92 years and 1 day old. She was born on October 29, 1923, at Walthill, Nebraska, the daughter of Paul and Hazel (Saucerman) Riggs. On May 15, 1942, she was united in marriage to Harold Goodwin. Their union was blessed with four children: Sheryl, Ron, Bonnie and Dawna. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She had been a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Florence, the Wonsevu Christian Church and the Christian Church of Florence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; a brother , Bob Riggs and a sister, LaVerne Boyer. She is lovingly survived by her children: Sheryl Bartlett of Wichita; Ron and wife Fern of Burns; Bonnie Walton and husband Hank of Welch, Oklahoma; and Dawna Schmidt and husband Calvin of Moundridge; a sister, Letha Shea of Concordia; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation with family will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at the Burns United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Burns Cemetery.
