EDMOND, OKLAHOMA - Pauline Ruth Edmunds, age 88, formerly of Marion, Kansas, passed from this world to her heavenly mansion on Saturday, October 15, 2-16. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stanley Edmunds; parents, John Best and Viola Brubaker Best; and her brother, John A. Best. She is survived by her son Michael Edmunds and wife Diane of Covington, Kentucky; daughter Kathy Edmunds Logsdon and husband Phil of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Matthew Edmunds and wife Morgan of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Robert J. Edmunds of Erlanger, Kentucky, and Kyle Gray and wife, Carrie; Kris Gray and fiancé Tamra Chase; and Katie Rose Logsdon, all of Edmond, Oklahoma; and great-grandchildren, Jameson Paul Gray of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Morgan Riley Edmunds of Hilton Head, South Carolina. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Sheik and husband Bob of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and her sister, Carolyn Heath and husband Larry of Cordell, Oklahoma. Pauline leaves a legacy of teaching fourth and sixth graders for 43 years at Marion Elementary Schools, starting when she was only 19 years old. After receiving a two-year teaching degree at McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas, she received her Bachelor’s degree from McPherson College many years later in 1975. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Valley United Methodist Church in Marion, Kansas, and will be followed by a graveside service and interment at Marion Cemetery.
