Pam’s life began on October 4, 1963 in Waseca, MN. She was the daughter of Duane and Ernestine (Tincher) Goerend. Pam was a 1981 graduate of Salina High School and attended Kansas University to study Criminology. She was united in marriage to Brad Schick on June 11, 1988 in Salina. Pam and Brad operated K4A2Z gun shop near White City and she was a shooting enthusiast. Pam was a good shot and loved to shoot her guns at the range. She loved cross stitching and made treasured family Christmas stockings. She loved to go camping at the Roaring River in Missouri where they would fish and she caught her first trout on one of those camping trips. Pam was very caring of others and would always worry about others before herself. Her loving family includes her husband of 32 years, Brad Schick of White City; parents Duane and Ernestine Goerend of Salina; sisters Kimberly Sue Willingham of Salina and Linda Sue (David) Rohleder of Salina and several nieces and nephews. Pam passed away on July 21, 2020 at Salina Regional Medical Center. Yazel-Megli Funeral Home in Herington is serving the family and a private family celebration will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Pam’s name may be directed to Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
