Nancy’s life began on August 25, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio. She was the daughter of Glen D. and Lovey Loretta (Bowlby) Lowe. Nancy enlisted in the United States Army as a young woman and served her country for seven years of active duty and several more years as a civilian at Fort Riley Irwin Army Hospital in food service. She was united in marriage to Vernon “Bobby” Clemons on June 8, 1990, in Lafayette, AR. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Herington and loved to read the Psalms and all the scriptures in her Bible. She is survived by her son Claude (CJ) Jude of Salina; and daughter Amber Appleby of White City; grandchildren Jason, James, Akira and Krissyana; siblings Christina Piper of Ohio, Sandra Bragg of Ohio, Dale Lowe of North Carolina, Tammy Storms of Ohio, and Samantha Weaver of Ohio. Nancy passed away on Thursday February 20, 2025, at Stormont Vail- Flint Hills Hospital in Junction City. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother James Lowe. Nancy will be laid to rest on Tuesday February 25, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Parkerville Cemetery, Parkerville, KS with services led by Pastor James Calloway. Military honors will be rendered at the cemetery. Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington is serving the family. Memorial contributions in Nancy’s name may be directed to the funeral home for expenses.
