Mike’s life began on October 3, 1952, in Salina, Kansas. He is the son of George and Jeanne (Howe) Frisbie. Mike was united in marriage to the former Judy Czarnowsky on May 19, 1979, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Herington.
Mike worked as a technician for Cablevision and a salesman for Aircraft Services. Mike then went to work for Frisbie Construction and became President of the company for 25 years. Prior to being the President of Frisbie Construction, he worked on the crew, in the shop, and as a salesman.
Mike had been active in the Jaycees organization as a young man and several other associations related to the grain and feed business. In his free time, Mike also enjoyed working with his PA equipment and happily helped lots of local organizations with events, he especially loved helping the church with his sound equipment. He was member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and served the church as an Elder, past congregational president and youth leader. He enjoyed his Lionel train collection and had been a licensed private pilot and drone pilot. He was also a huge lover of animals. Mike was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas State football fan.
His loving family includes his wife Judy of Herington, daughter Meghan (Luke) Wells of Manhattan, grandson Macsen Wells, sister-in-law Ardith (Frances) Alt of Herington, nephews Jason (Melissa) Alt and Jeff Alt, niece Traci Alt and two great nieces Emma and Lindsay Alt.
Mike passed away on Wednesday September 13, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi Living Center in Manhattan. He is preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be held on Monday September 18, 2023, at 11 a.m. in Sunset Hills Cemetery led by Pastor Alan Stahlecker. Yazel - Megli Funeral Home, Herington is serving the family.
