Marilyn Anderson was born in Hope Kansas on September 23, 1933. She was the third child of her parents.
On September 21, 1951, she married the love of her life, James Anderson. They had countless, wonderful years together on the family farm and traveling the world. In her younger years, it was never surprising to learn that she was off gallivanting around visiting friends, seeing new exciting places, or revisiting loved destinations. She was an avid gardener and often could be spotted mowing her yard or taking care of her many flowers. Sunflowers and roses met their match, when she decided the perfect spot for them to be planted, you could guarantee they were going to bloom.
Marilyn's faith brought her great comfort and fulfilled her life and all the lives around her. Her quiet strength will be missed, but her presence will continue to be felt by all. Her quiet inner strength may not have been apparent to all, but those that knew her came to understand her steadfast love and comfort.
She is survived by her husband, James Anderson of Hope, Kansas, and many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held September 1 at 10am at Ashton cemetery with a reception at Hope Annex at 11am. Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dickinson County Hospice or St Jude's.
