Margie L. Christensen (Regier)

Margie L Christensen, 84, went to be with the Lord, October 24, 2018, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born July 3, 1934, in rural Marion, the daughter of Henry and Tena (Rempel) Regier. She was a graduate of Florence High School. On May 19, 1957, she was united in marriage to Eugene Christensen. She was a homemaker along with several secretary positions including Eastmoor United Methodist Church which she retired from. She had a deep love for her family, especially for her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending all their activities and was their number one fan at all sporting events. She was a very faithful and active member of Eastmoor United Methodist Church and had a great passion for music. Her love for music included being a part of the choir for many years. As a very active member of our community, she was known to always greet everyone with a smile and kind words. We know she will be looking down on all of us from heaven with a cup of coffee in her hand and her beautiful smile. She was proceeded in death by her siblings: Vernon Regier, Arnold Regier, Wes Regier, Gladys Loewen, and Luella Popp. She is survived by her husband: Eugene Christensen; children: Tim Christensen, Ann Crask and husband Randy, Jay Christensen and wife Cheryl and Amy Harshman and husband, Burton. Eleven grandchildren: Brett Crask and wife Sierra, Trent Crask, Camille Barney and husband Nathan, Tiffany Jeffrey and husband Clinton, Whitney Christensen, Dylan Pippin, Katelyn Christensen, Matthew Christensen, Burt Harshman, Hailey Harshman, and Allie Harshman. Five great-grandchildren: Liam Jeffrey, Dawson Crask, Jett Jeffrey, Baker Crask, and Skylar Barney. Siblings: Herbert Regier and wife Wilma; and sisters-in-law: Eileen Regier and Edith Regier. Visitation with family will be held from 4-6pm., Saturday, at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion, with Rev. Darren Frazier and Rev. Vernon Bowers officiating. Interment will follow at the Marion Cemetery. A Memorial Fund has been established for Eastmoor United Methodist Church, in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS 66861.
