LOST SPRINGS – Lucille E. Bernhardt, age 92, passed away September 15, 2015, at Medicalodges, Herington, Kansas. She was born at the family home near Lost Springs, Kansas, on May 25, 1923. She was the daughter of Henry and Esther (Yaekel) Schick. She was raised and educated at Lost Springs, graduating from Lost Springs High School. On October 6, 1940, she was united in marriage to Ezra Bernhardt at Ramona, Kansas. They made their home on the farm, where Lucille was a devoted farmwife. She was active in the community and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Lincolnville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra; a son, Leland; and a brother, Alvin. She is survived by her children: son, Max and wife Kathy of Jackson, Georgia; and daughters, Judyth Kill and husband Steve of Lincolnville; and Patricia Turner and husband Roger of Salina; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Bernhardt of Lost Springs; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation with family will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday evening at Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2015, at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Lincolnville. Interment will be in the Lincolnville Cemetery. Memorial Funds have been established for St. John’s Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Hospice, or Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS, 66861.
