Lorene M. Will

HERINGTON - Lorene M. Will, 101, long time resident of Herington, died Monday, October 19th, 2015, at Hillsboro. She was born on September 14, 1914, on a farm near Hope, the daughter of Wilhelm O. “Will” and Wilhelmina J. (Luedemann) Reich.  Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, October 23rd, 2015, at the Zeiner Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, with Rev. Troy Slater, officiating.  Private committal will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.   Mrs. Will was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone.  She was very devoted to the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Herington; served many years as treasurer and on the Altar Guild (over 25 years).  She was chosen Senior Citizen of the Year in 1992.  She married Walter Richard Will on September 1, 1946, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lyons Creek, west of Herington; he preceded in death on October 21, 1970.  She was also preceded by a brother, Victor Reich.  The family requests memorials to the Our Redeemer Lutheran; and they may be sent to the Zeiner Funeral Home - Herington Chapel, 404 S Broadway, Herington, KS, 67449-3038.  To leave a special message for the family online, visit: www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.
