Linda’s life began on July 6, 1975, in Newton, KS. She was the daughter of Clinton and Kathleen (Brown) Schmidt. Linda attended Potwin and Whitewater elementary school and graduated from Frederic Remington High School in 1993. She continued her education at Butler County Community College, and Wichita State University. Later, Linda earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City. In high school, Linda excelled in athletics, running cross country and until recently, held the school record for the javelin throw. She was an animal lover, especially her dogs and cats. Linda enjoyed researching her family genealogy along with her dad.
She is survived by her parents Clinton and Kathleen Schmidt of Whitewater; siblings Laura (Steve) Dinkel of Ellis, David (Angie) Schmidt of Bentley, Pamela (Dave) Mitchell of Whitewater, and Kimberly (Steve) Blowers of Haysville; nieces and nephews Lacy Schroeder, Bryant Schmidt, Kyle (Taylor) Morgan, Kylie Mitchell, Caitlin (Jovany) Meza, Carisa (Simeon) Taskova, and Shelby Blowers; great nieces and nephews Ra’mya, Laysia, Elle, Enzo, and Athena.
Linda passed away on Tuesday April 15, 2025, at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater. Her family will gather with friends on Monday April 21, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Brainerd Cemetery for her graveside service.
