Linda Kay Bryan was born on April 17, 1950, in Kansas City, KS. She is the daughter of Harry Forbes and Oma “Midge” (McKay) Smith. She graduated in 1968 from Gardner Edgerton High School, in Gardner, KS.

Linda was an avid reader and never went anywhere without a book. She loved cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. She enjoyed baking and was best known for her ribs and her Texas sheet cake.

Linda’s family includes her children: Chris (Layla) Bryan, Kim Morris; grandchildren: Colton Bryan, Lexie Bryan, Ty Morris, Tucker Morris; sister: Paula “Mim” Simpson; nieces: Megan Anders, Jessie Simpson, Ashley Stevens; nephews: Clinton Forbes, Jeremy Simpson. 

Linda, at the age of 72, passed away on October 24, 2022, in Herington, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Oma “Midge”; stepfather: Alvin “Curly” Smith; siblings: Patty “Tisha” Stevens, Vickie “Gig” Lea, Tony “Doc” Forbes; nephew: Brett Stevens. Contributions may be left in care of the Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington. Cremation is planned with private family services.
