MARION – Lillian L. Leppke, age 94, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Salem Home of Hillsboro, where she has been a resident for nearly two years. She was born July 12, 1921, at Whitewater. She was the daughter of Leonard and Martha (Penner) Harms. She grew up in the Whitewater community and later graduated from Newton High School. On October 19, 1941, she was united in marriage to Elmer Leppke at Grace Hill Mennonite Church of Whitewater. They made their home on a farm south of Marion. Lillian was a homemaker and an antique dealer. She was a member of the Good News Christian Fellowship Church of Marion. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer and five siblings. She is survived by her children: sons, Merle Leppke of Marion; and Bob Leppke of Houston, Texas; and a daughter, Marilyn Heier of Park City; two brothers, Willard Harms of Peabody, and Irvin Harms of Moundridge; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. A visitation will be held from 6:30 -7:30 p.m., Monday evening at Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the Good News Christian Fellowship Church in Marion. Interment will follow in the Marion Cemetery.
