HERINGTON - Leonard J. Horsman, 81, passed away Saturday evening, November 21st, 2015, at the Legacy of Herington care facility. He was born on December 29th, 1933, at Manhattan, KS, the son of J. Harold and T. Bernadine (Jones) Horsman. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Friday, November 27th, at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington, with Pastor Sherman Sack officiating. Services will be under the direction of the Zeiner Funeral Home, Herington Chapel. Mr. Horsman work for Sinclair Oil Company prior to moving to Herington, in late 1970’s. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Herington, and he and his mother were caretakers of the church for many years. He served in the U.S. Army. He graduated from high school in 1951 at Baltimore, Maryland. He is survived by his two nieces: Diana Zager (husband-Terry) of Wichita, and Barbara Brazil (husband-George) of Albuquerque; his nephew John Jones of Manhattan; and their families.
