Laura Belle Brewer

Laura Belle Brewer, was born on November 29, 1929, near Latimer, the daughter of Theodore Walter and Mae Katherine (McCann) Kasten.  She died on December 7, 2019, at Diversicare of Council Grove.

Laura Belle worked at Fort Riley, in her early years; and a member of the First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed yard work with her husband, and especially loved dogs and cats.

She married Jerry F. Brewer on November 12, 1977, in the First Baptist Church of Junction City; he survives of Council Grove.  Also survived by her brother Clyde Kasten and his wife Ardella of Latimer and four nephews.  Preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Kuether on September 4, 1993, and a niece, Gelane L. Kasten on August 23, 1946.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm Thursday, December 12, 2019, at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington, with Pastor Darrell Geist, officiating.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:30am until 12:00noon at the Yazel-Megli-Zeiner Funeral Home-Herington Chapel.
