HERINGTON - Joshua Scott Lang, 34, died late Saturday evening, October 17th, 2015, at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas. He was born on December 23rd, 1980, at Marion, Kansas. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, October 24th, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, with Pastor Bill Peterson, officiating. Josh worked a few years for OCCK. He liked eagles and loved the support of his family and close neighbors. He was baptized at the St. Phillip Catholic Church. He was raised in Abilene, and graduated from Abilene High School with the class of 2000. He was preceded in death by his stepmother Jessie Lang in April 2008; his grandfather Rich Gehrke in July 2012; his grandmother Mary Coup in March 1991; and his cousin and best friend Brandon Lang. He is survived by his father Scott Lang of the home in Abilene; his grandmother Frances Gehrke of Herington; his mother Patricia Coup of Colorado; his grandfather Dwayne Coup of Hope; one uncle Steve Lang and his wife Barbara of Greeley, Colorado; two aunts Susan Sponsler and her husband Kevin of Yreka, California; and Sheri Alvey and husband Rusty of Herington, and many cousins.
