John W. Rupp

John W. Rupp, age 77, passed away on Janurary 10, 2016 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.  He was born October 27, 1938 at Hillsboro, Kansas the son of Walter and Evelyn Hauser Rupp. John graduated from Marion High School, attended Wichita State University, and served in the United States Army.  He was a retired commercial pilot.  On August 11, 1963 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Russell.  One daughter was born to this union.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jeanette.  He is survived by daughter Laura Baldwin of Marion, a sister Marlys Jean Hollar of Wichita, and three grandsons, Isaac, Jacob, and Nathan.  The service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Marion Christian Church.  There will be a visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.  A memorial has been established with the Marion Christian Church.
