Jerry Lee Alcorn

Jerry Lee Alcorn, 78, of Herington passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 4, 2022, at Herington Municipal Hospital. Jerry was born on July 16, 1944, in Kansas City, MO to Hershel Alcorn and Gladys (Bristol) Alcorn.

Jerry attended local schools in Herington, before enlisting into the United States Navy, where he spent 12 years. Jerry was self-employed and loved working for himself. Jerry’s favorite passion was being a member of the Throttle Jockey’s car club.

Jerry is survived by his daughters; Marnita and Melissa, sons; Terry and Darren, brothers; Bill and Tom, several grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Jerry, brother; Donny, and sister Helen. Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Herington Chapel is serving the family.
