Jane P. McCormick

SALINA – Jane Pauline McCormick, age 89, passed away August 23, 2016, at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.  She was born September 5, 1926, at Herington.  She was the daughter of William and Edith (Settergran) Sells.  She was married to James E. Gillett of Herington, on October 26, 1946, to this union three children were born.  She later married Vic McCormick of Salina, on October 8, 1977.  She was baptized into the Lutheran Church.  She and Vic loved bowling and travelling together.  She was involved with the Salina Drum and Bugle Corps for many years.  She had also worked at Tony’s Pizza in Salina, for nine years.  She was preceded in death by her husband Vic McCormick, her daughter Gayle Gillett, and a sister Betty Lee.  She is survived by two sons:  James Gillett and wife Amy of Lost Springs; and Robert Gillett and wife Debbie of Marion; step-children:  Connie, James, and Larry McCormick; 4 grandchildren:  Jayme Becker, Sean Gillett, Jared Gillett, and Brandon Gillett; and 6 great-grandchildren.  The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2016, at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion, with Pastor Jeff Lee presiding.  Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.  Memorial Fund have been established for the Marion Senior Center or the St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS, 66861.  Online Condolences may be left at www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.
