Marion – Ivanlee was born February 18, 1924 on the family farm in Woodbine, Kansas where was raised. His parents were Gilbert and Gertrude Timm. He attended Liberty Center country school and Woodbine High school where he graduated in 1943.
Ivanlee served in WWII in the Army infantry and served 18 months in Germany. After the war was over, he returned to the farm to help his father.
In 1948 he married Florabelle Wylie. They later moved to Herington, Kansas where he worked at the Herington Air Base for 8 years; worked for Rock Island Railroad for 4 years and served as a police officer for 7 years. The couple had 2 daughters; Patricia Jean and Rosemary Kay.
The couple moved to Rogers, Arkansas where Florabelle passed in 1978. Six years later, Ivanlee married Mabel Doris in Arkansas in 1984. They were married 4 years when she passed. Ivanlee worked at a Walmart warehouse until he retired in 1986. He then returned to Herington. 2 years later he met Mary Ann Avery and they were married November 1, 1990 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church where Ivanlee was a was an active and involved member in many activities. Ivanlee was also a member of the V.F.W. and also very active with the Marion Senior Center.
Ivanlee was preceded in death by his parents; sister Ardell and an infant sister. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann of the home; daughters Patti Busey (Gary) of Marion and Rosemary Hailey (Charles) of Bucklin; and step son Barry Avery (Marlene) of Eldorado; 3 grandsons: Chad and Aaron Hailey and Tim Busey; 2 granddaughters: Angie Busey and Caroline Stark; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Ivanlee left an imprint on the community that will never be forgotten and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
