Howard M Savage

FLORENCE - Howard M. Savage, age 71, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 21, 2016, near his home west of Florence.  He was born September 19, 1944, at Marion, he was the son the Loyd Savage and Lois Jean Riggs Savage.  He was a graduate of Florence High School.  He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Emporia State University.  He was a caregiver for his mother in her home.  He was preceded in death by his father Loyd, his birth mother Lois, and an infant sister Grace.  He is survived by his mother Alta Mae Savage of Florence, his brothers:  Brad Savage of Peabody; Ray Savage of Burns; Rex Savage, Randy Savage and Ron Savage all of Florence, and their families.  Cremation has taken place.  There will be a Graveside Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016, at Hillcrest Cemetery of Florence, with Pastor John Branson presiding.  A Memorial Fund has been established for the Florence High School Alumni Association in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS, 66861.
