Herbert Metz Timm

TOPEKA  – Herbert Metz Timm, 87, died Monday, March 7th, 2016, in Topeka.  He was born November 14, 1928, in Abilene, the son of Wm. “Bill” H. and Emma Marie (Metz) Timm.  He was a Chemical Engineer for the Kansas Department of Transportation.   

Graveside Services will be held Friday, March 11th, at 3:00 pm at the Abilene Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Topeka, from 2pm until 4pm.

Mr. Timm was a fifty year member of the First United Methodist Church in Topeka.  He graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1946, and received his Bachelors' Degree from Kansas State University in Chemical Engineering.  He loved fishing, making bird houses, and writing poetry.

He is preceded in death by his two (2) half-brothers: Donald Timm and Paul Timm.
