POTWIN — Grace A. Busenitz, 77, of Potwin, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior, Friday, March 25, 2016, at her residence surrounded by the love of her family. She was born April 4, 1938, at Fisher, Illinois, the daughter of Harvey C. and Prudence (Habegger) Birky. Grace obtained her Master’s degree from Ohio State University. She taught elementary education for several years. On July 16, 1966, she was united in marriage to William Busenitz. They made their home near Potwin, where she was a farm wife and homemaker. Their marriage was blessed with 6 children. She is lovingly survived by her husband, William Busenitz; her children: Karen Binder and her husband Mark of Mongolia; Janelle Nissley and her husband Cory of Minot, North Dakota; Alan Busenitz and his wife Rachel of Potwin; Lisa Connor and her husband Phillip of Ft. Worth, Texas; Melvin Busenitz and his wife Cindy of Potwin; and Cheryl Thomas and her husband Luke of Sweden; a brother Howard Birky and his wife AnnaBeth of Goessel; and 27 grandchildren.
All services will be held at Emmaus Mennonite Church, Whitewater. The Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday evening, March 29, and the Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016. A Committal Service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, at the Emmaus Mennonite Cemetery, Whitewater. A Memorial Fund has been established for Torch Bearers (Scholarships for Eastern Block students) in care of Lamb Funeral Home, P.O. Box 358, Whitewater 67154.
