Grace Cleora Becker

HERINGTON-Grace Cleora Becker, 96, of Herington, died Tuesday, July 19th, 2016, at her home in Herington and was under the care of David and Sarah and their family.   She was born on January 10th, 1920, the daughter of John P.  and Lavinia L. (DeBus) Becker.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 22nd, 2016, at the Zeiner Funeral Home –Herington Chapel, with Pastor Enola Leonard officiating. The family will receive friends  9:30 AM until time of service,  Friday, July 22nd, 2016, at the Zeiner Funeral Home-Herington Chapel.  Inurnment will be at a later date.

Miss Becker was a waitress and worked at several different restaurants.  In her later years she worked at the Hays House in Council Grove, and earlier at the Mom’s Café and the Liggett Hotel of Herington.  She had worked as a telephone operator in Delavan. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Herington and was involved in the UMW, the Forum Class which later became the Adult Sunday School Class. She graduated from Delavan High School with the class of 1941.

She is preceded in death by her brother; Ivan Becker on May 26, 2007, and her parents.

She is survived by her nephew David Becker and his wife Sarah of Herington, a niece Ronda Lilienthal and her husband Jeff of Henderson, TN, and her great nieces and great nephew; Kimberly, Laura Beth, Cassidy, Dakota, Addison, Koby, Lacey, Gracie, Rylan, Annie Mason, and Casey Lilienthal.
