MARION – Genevieve M. Stefan, 88, passed away November 7, 2015, at the St. Luke Living Center in Marion, Kansas. She was born August 19, 1927, in Park, Kansas, the daughter of Bernard and Mary (Wildeman) Zimmerman. On February 6, 1950, she was united in marriage to Marcus R. Stefan at the Immaculate Conception Church of Grinnell. She was a loving mother and homemaker for her husband and ten children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus; and siblings: Leo Zimmerman and Alberta Walt. She is survived by her 10 children: Gilbert of Emporia; Harold of Goodland; Darrold (Colleen) of Mesquite, NV; Bernie (Diane) of Goodland; Leana McKenrick of Longview, TX; Rick of Colby; Mary Svoboda (Terry) of Marion; Robert of Marion; Mark of Colorado Springs, CO; and Anita Svoboda (Steven) of Lincolnville. Also her siblings: John Zimmerman of Quinter, Peter Zimmerman of Grinnell; Ralph Zimmerman of Oakley; Joseph Zimmerman of Grinnell; Pauline Yonker of Munjor; and Angelina Hausheer of Topeka; 17 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Thursday, at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. Services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Park, Kansas, with the Rosary being recited at 9:30 a.m., and the Funeral Mass to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery of Park.
