Council Grove - Gary L. Pope, 67 of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away suddenly, September 9, 2016.

He was born August 1, 1949, in Columbia, Mo, to Harold and Louise (Hoffman) Pope. He married Alberta Dennis on March 11, 1995.

Gary is survived by his wife Alberta, of the home; mother Louise Palmer of Fayette, MO; sister Donna Kay Johns of Armstrong, MO; and brothers Larry Pope of Tulsa, OK and Harold Pope of Cedar Springs, OK. He was preceded in death by his father.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 15th, at Sunny Slope Cemetery.
