Florine Ann Krause

Florine’s life began on November 12, 1935, in rural Woodbine.  She is the daughter of Clemens and Florence (Longhofer) Lueker.  Florine is a 1953 graduate of Woodbine High School.  She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Krause on June 20, 1954, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shady Brook. 

Florine was a devoted stay at home Mom and homemaker. She and Bob operated the IGA Store in Woodbine and later she worked at the Immanuel Lutheran Daycare for several years. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she participated in the Ladies Aid, Altar Guild, taught Sunday School and was a substitute organist.  Florine’s church and family were her life. 

She is survived by her children; Bruce (Martha) Krause of Woodbine, Melody (Joe) Williams of Woodbine, Jayce (Jan) Krause of Hope and Chris (Pam) Krause of Junction City. Her grandchildren; Joseph (Rachel) Williams, Zachary (Christina) Krause, Jill (A.J.) Abernathy, Kimberly (Jeremy) Purkeypyle, Dustin (Timber Lacy) Stralow, Jacob Krause, Cortni (Caleb) Kruse, Jennifer Krause, Tierra (Josh) Unruh, Whitney (Aaron) Broxterman, Paige (Cole) Wildman and Chase (Sydney Sellers) Krause; great grandchildren; Cameron (Destiny Thorn), Aidan, Trinity, Thomas, Samuel, Savannah and Rose Williams, Cayden and Caryss West and Ellary Krause, Quinn and Sutton Kruse, Adrianna, Cheyenne and Hunter Purkeypyle, Lennon Lacy, Greyson, and Brynlee Broxterman, and Wyatt and Paityn Wildman; great great grandchildren, Kashton Thorn, and Cameron C.J.” Williams and half-brother Don Kirts. 

Florine passed away on Saturday December 24, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Woodbine.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Gaylon Lueker. 

Her family will celebrate Florine’s life on Thursday December 29, 2022, from 3-5 p.m. at the Hope Community Annex.  She will be laid to rest in Woodbine Cemetery privately.  Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington is serving the family.  Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church Shady Brook.  Please sign her online guestbook and leave a memory of Florine at www.yazelmeglif.com.
