Florence Bertha White

Florence’s life began on March 13, 1923, in Lincolnville. She was the daughter of John and Emma (Behn) Rindt. Florence graduated from high school in Lincolnville. She was united in marriage to Wesley Ward White on September 6, 1943, in Wichita.

As a young lady, Florence worked for Mobil Travelers and Farm Machinery. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Herington. Florence enjoyed playing cards and her card club and spending time with family and friends.

 She is survived by her daughter in law Sharon White of Hutchinson; grandchildren Suzi Ammann of Herington, Rob (Jennifer) Mowat of Galva, Jason (Rhonda) White of Wichita, Jaime Potocnik of Lincolnville, Becky (Ricky Giroux) Mowat of Ramona and Jake (Megan) White of Oakley; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Florence passed away on April 26, 2024, at St. Luke’s Living Center in Marion. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, twelve siblings, daughter Cindy Mowat and son in law Robert Mowat, son Wesley Neil White and great grandson Nick Kinser.

Her family will gather with friends on Friday May 3, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington. Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington is serving the family. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the St. Luke’s Living Center.
