Evey’s life began on January 19, 1968, in Concordia, KS. She was the daughter of Hans and Pansy (Seibenborn). Evey was a 1986 graduate of Concordia High School and moved to Marion soon after graduation. 

She worked at a certified medication aide at St. Luke’s Living Center in Marion for the last 36 years. Evey loved to cook and go camping. She enjoyed visiting grandchildren and loved her many pets. Evey never knew a stranger and her personality lit up a room. She will be missed by so many

 Evey is survived by her companion DuWayne Garrett of Marion; son Preston (Alex) Williams of Marion; DuWayne’s daughters Melanie Garrett of St. Louis and Betty (Chance) Skeen of Bullhead City, AZ, grandson Duke Williams and DuWayne’s grandchildren Giovanni, Faye, Layla, Ryleigh, and Ellie .

 Evey passed away at her home on Monday January 6, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Trudy.

 Her family will gather with friends on Saturday January 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Marion Christian Church for her memorial service led by her Pastor Carl Helm. Yazel Megli Funeral Home is serving the family. Memorial contributions in Evey’s name may be directed to the Marion Christian Church.
