Edward E. "Ed" Siebert

MARION -  Edward E. “Ed” Siebert, 74, passed away January 28, 2016, at his residence.  He was born May 3, 1941, in Hillsboro, Kansas, the son of Wilmer and Mildred (Bluhm) Siebert.  He was a graduate of Marion High School.  On November 10, 1973, he was married to Laquetta “Luke” Cunningham.   He was a plant manager at Lewis and West, Inc. of El Dorado, for many years.    He was preceded in death by his wife, Luke; a young daughter, Brenda Siebert; and his parents.  He is survived by his children:  Rick Siebert and wife Kelly of rural Allen; and Julie Ascencio of St. Peters, MO; his step-children:  Charles Reece and wife Cindy of Hillsboro; and Tracy Garrison and husband Lynn of Edmund, Oklahoma; his siblings:  Richard Siebert (Darlene) of Wichita; Jerry Siebert (Micki) of Cedar Point; and Karen Regnier (Mike) of Marion; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.  Cremation has taken place.  A private service will be held for him and his wife at the Marion Cemetery in the spring.  A memorial fund has been established for the Marion City Library, in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS, 66861.  Online condolences may be left at www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.
