Dorothy Louise Lawrence

Dorothy Louise Lawrence, formerly of Marion passed away February 28, 2018, at Emporia at the age of 91. She was born May 1, 1926, in Olpe, Kansas. From age 13 she was raised by Leonard and Anna Petitt. She was a graduate of Ozawkie High School.

On September 19, 1948, she was united in marriage to Earl Lawrence. They made their home in Cottonwood Falls, Florence, and moved to Marion in the mid 1950’s. Three daughters were born to this union, Marian, Jan, and Cheryl. For Many years Dorothy served in the Register of Deeds Office. She was a member of the Marion Christian Church and active in CWF at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl in 1998.

She is survived by daughters Marian and Mike Wood and Jan and Phil Collins all of Emporia, Cheryl and Dan Young of Olathe, two grandchildren Jeff Wood and Alison Sipra and two great-grandchildren Nicholas and Anna Sipra.
