Dori Johanna Davis

Dori’s life began January 21, 1981, in Abilene.  She is the daughter of Larry and Karla (Staatz) Mann of Herington.  Dori was a 1999 graduate of Herington High School and earned her business management degree from the University of Phoenix in 2022.  She had been the housekeeping manager at Legacy of Herington and worked in home health.  Dori was a caregiver at heart, always happy to help others.  She loved to crochet and take care of people’s lawns for them.  She was an excellent woodworker and could fix anything.  Dori would google how to do something and then go do it.  She is survived by her loving parents Larry and Karla Mann of Herington; aunts and uncles Krista Pavek of Herington, Kandy (Art) Groneman of Lincolnville, Gaylene Staatz of Herington, Kim (Greg) McCasey of Clearwater, David (Jane) Staatz of Ramona, Kenny Staatz of Herington, and Kathy (Ben) Castleberry of Herington; Mary (Wayne) Parsley of Lebanon Junc., KY, Diana (Steve) Frances of Shepherdville, KY, and Gary Mann of Lebanon Junc., KY and  many cousins,  and her housemate and friend Rachel Mealor of Herington.  Dori passed away on Tuesday December 6, 2022, at Herington Community Hospital.  She is preceded in death by grandparents and uncle O.B. Staatz.  Her family will gather with friends on Saturday December 17, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for her memorial service.  Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington is serving the family.  Memorial contributions in Dori’s name may be directed to St. Pauls Lutheran Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  Please sign her online guestbook and leave a memory of Dori at www.yazelmeglifh.com.
