David A. Frantz

RAMONA - David A. Frantz, 71, passed away May 20, 2015, at the Herington Hospital.  He was born May 23, 1944, at Goessel, the son of Albert and Anna (Ratzlaff) Frantz.  He grew up near Tampa, and attended Tampa Schools.  He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1964-1971.  On October 2, 1965, he was married to Mary Ann Frick at Tampa.  David was a farmer and enjoyed restoring antique tractors.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; a son, Monte of Enid, Oklahoma; a daughter, Tondalayo "Tondee" and her husband Daniel Schaller of Alexandria, Virginia; brothers:  Daniel of Durham, Leonard of Hillsboro; and Jonas of Tampa; his sisters:  Esther Funk of Hillsboro; and Edith Unruh of Enid, Oklahoma; and his 6 grandchildren:  Taylor, Jacob, Kyle, Lance, Sarah and Gemma.  Visitation with family will be held from 5 - 7 p.m., Friday, at Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion.  Services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Holy Family Parish, Holy Redeemer Catholic Church of Tampa, with the Rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. May and Fr. Wesely Con-Celebrating.  Interment with Military Rites will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery of Tampa.  Memorial Funds have been established for the Dickinson County Home Health and Hospice, or the Holy Family Parish, Holy Redeemer Church of Tampa, in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Marion, KS, 66861.
