Dallas L. Redger

October 8, 1927 — March 7, 2018

Dallas L. Redger, age 90, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Hillsboro Community Hospital.  Dallas was born October 8, 1927 at Durham, Kansas to Neal and Marie (Schmidt) Redger.

He attended school  less than a mile from the family farm and lived on the home place all his life.  On October 22, 1958 he was united in marriage to Katie Heidebrecht at the McPherson Brethren Church.  They were married for 59 years.  Dallas was an Army Veteran.

Dallas was a farmer and rancher.  When he was young he farmed with horses which he enjoyed.  He also did custom harvesting and swathing.  He loved to go to the lake to fish and camp out. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, and five nephews. 

He is survived by his wife Katie of the home, a son David of McPherson, a daughter Judy Redger of the home, brother Lorenz (Curly) and wife Juanita Redger of McPherson, a sister Enid Jesse of Wichita, nieces and nephew.

A private funeral will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Elm Springs Cemetery, rural Durham with Military Rites.
