Cynthia L. Schlesener

HERINGTON - Cynthia L. “Cindy” Schlesener, 59, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015, at Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born October 3, 1956, at Topeka, Kansas.  She was the daughter of Francis “Doc” and Cladine (Richmond) Hartke.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 9, 2015, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Herington, with Pastor Bill Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at the Lincolnville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Zeiner Funeral Home - Herington Chapel. Mrs. Schlesener retired in September 2014, from the Bank of Ulysses where she was in charge of operations.  She graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1974.  She centered her life around her grandsons’ activities and spending time with the family.  She married Tom Schlesener at Miami, Oklahoma, on January 24, 1975; he survives of the home.  She is also survived by her mother Cladine Hartke of Herington; two daughters: Jennifer and husband Dr. Matthew Scott of Buena Vista, Colorado; and Elizabeth and husband Rodger Pister of Garden City; and grandsons, Connor & Logan Scott.  The family request memorials to the Chaffe County EMS Foundation (Colorado) in care of Zeiner Funeral Home - Herington Chapel, 404 S Broadway, Herington, KS, 67449.  To leave a special message for the family online, visit: www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.
