Connie Alvarez

Connie’s life began on December 8, 1935, in Lost Springs. She was the daughter of Adolfo and Julia (Yturriago) Gonzales. Connie attended school in Lost Springs and was a lifelong resident. She was making tortillas by the time she was ten years old. Connie enjoyed making cream pies. Her pies were as pretty as a picture. While raising six children, she did ironing on the side. Connie started working at Centre Grade School in the kitchen and moved later on to the high school where she worked a total of 27 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and doing word searches. Connie kept up with friends talking on the phone and enjoyed visiting the casino.
