Cindy Dian Floyd

Cindy’s life began on March 7, 1957, in Herington.  She is the daughter of Paul and Dian (DeBus) Hegle.  Cindy was a 1975 graduate of Herington High School.  She was united in marriage to Gary Floyd on June 2, 1974, at the Presbyterian Church in Herington.  Cindy worked for the Herington Elementary School as a teachers aid and helped Gary on the family farm, especially with her cows.  Family, school, and friends were her life and joy.  Cindy enjoyed many trips to Disney World and loved the ocean with white sandy beaches.  She is survived by her loving family which includes her husband of 49 years Gary Floyd of Herington; children G. P. (Amber) Floyd of Carlton, KS, and Danny (Kiki) Floyd of Kissimmee, FL; grandchildren Amanda (Michael), Tana, Brantley, Wesley, Matthew, Liam and Amanda R; great granddaughter Sadie; sisters Kimberly (Scott) Erickson of Salina and Tracy (Robert) Gilbert of Groveland, FL and several nieces and nephews.  Cindy passed away at home on Thursday July 6, 2023.  She is preceded in death by her parents.  Her family will gather with friends on Monday July 10^th from 6-8 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington.  Cindy’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 11^th at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church in Herington.  She will be laid to rest in Sunset Hill Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Cindy’s name may be directed to the Herington Elementary School Extracurricular Fund.  Please sign her online guestbook and leave a memory of Cindy at www.yazelmeglifh.com.
