WHITEWATER – Blake O. Strasser, 76, passed away June 13, 2015, at Whitewater, Kansas, surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer. He was born February 25, 1939, on the family farm, rural Whitewater. He was the son of Ed and Fern (Ullum) Strasser. He was a self-employed welder, working in the surrounding communities. Blake enjoyed the outdoors and always planted a large garden. He loved to give his produce away to friends and family. He also did his own canning. It was his dream to finish it back to its original grandeur and reside there. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Lorene and Sandra; and brothers: Buddy and Gus. Blake is survived by his son Randy and his wife Debbie Strasser of El Dorado; his daughter Chelley Strasser of Augusta; his grandchildren: Haleigh, Sydney, Allie and Tahner Williams; his great-grandchildren: Aleighia, Ariah, and Asher; his former wife Linda Strasser; his sisters: Jackie and her husband Jim Converse, Vickie and her husband Dick Cook; Sherry Edwards, and Candy and her husband Jim Elting; his brothers: Dennis Strasser and Larry Strasser; a niece Robin Edwards, and a host of family and friends.
