FLORENCE – Bertha G. “Bert” Zogelman, age 84, passed away August 1, 2016, at St. Luke Living Center, Marion. She was born October 21, 1931, at St. Leo. She was the youngest of 10 children born to Nicholas and Gertrude (Hommertzheim) Schoenecker. On August 23, 1952, she was united in marriage to Norbert J. Zogelman. Their marriage was blessed with 4 children. She was a farm wife and later cooked at the Chuckwagon and worked at the greenhouse in Florence. She was preceded in death by her husband Norbert; and 7 siblings: Josephine Blanchat, Annie Schoenecker, Betty Smith, Chris Carter, Martha Miller, Bart Schoenecker, and Pete Schoenecker. She is lovingly survived by her children: Carol Callahan of Burns; Pat Zogelman and wife Mary of Florence; Nick Zogelman and wife Sharon of Florence; and Scott Zogelman of Florence; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings: Sister Mary Schoenecker of Wichita; and Joe Schoenecker and wife Francis of Wichita; and a sister-in-law Clara Zogleman. All services will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Florence, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday; and the Memorial Mass to be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016. Inurnment will follow in the Burns Catholic Cemetery. A Memorial Fund has been established for Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS, 66861.
